Sheamus & Ridge Holland defeated Cesaro & Ricochet. (Kickoff Match)
Sheamus taught his protégé Ridge Holland a lesson in what it takes to win, as The Celtic Warrior took things into his own hands to defeat the newly formed pair of Cesaro & Ricochet in a hard-nosed match to kick off WWE Day 1.
After Ricochet broke Holland’s nose and forced him to be taken backstage, Sheamus entered the fray and made Ricochet pay with thunderous clubbing blows and backbreakers. Finding himself in what was essentially a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, Sheamus fell victim to the numbers game as Cesaro battered his former tag team partner with multiple uppercuts and a crossbody splash before taking Sheamus for a spin.
Just when it looked like the numbers would be too much for Sheamus to overcome, The Celtic Warrior turned things around with a White Noise to Ricochet outside the ring before surprising Cesaro with a massive Brogue Kick for the pinfall. (Via WWE.com)

SmackDown Tag Team Championship: SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONs, The Usos defeated The New Day.
The Usos will be saying “We the Day Ones” after defeating The New Day to retain their SmackDown Tag Team Titles in another exhilarating showdown between the longtime rivals.
King Woods put on a show for his hometown kingdom of Atlanta as he and Kofi Kingston had The Usos reeling early until the underhanded tactics of Jimmy and Jey Uso gave the champions the advantage. The duo worked together to distract the referee and deliver a pair of vicious cheap shots to “The Hand of the King,” effectively isolating Kingston.
After escaping the clutches of The Usos, Kingston tagged in King Woods, who cleared house. Woods looked to take out Jey Uso with a dive, but Jimmy Uso stepped in to absorb the blow. The sacrifice allowed Jimmy Uso to take advantage with a corkscrew splash off the top rope and an assisted Samoan Drop, both for two-counts.
After a flurry of highlight-reel worthy moments, Kingston went for a quick rollup, but Jimmy Uso tagged himself in, and The Usos The Usos hit a 3-D, which Pat McAfee called a 1-D, for the victory. (Via WWE.com)

Drew McIntyre defeated Madcap Moss (with Happy Corbin).
Drew McIntyre effectively wiped the smile off the face of Madcap Moss with a devastating Claymore.
Moss barely got out of the gates before McIntyre’s power was on full display, as the powerful former WWE Champion tossed Moss all over the squared circle before flinging him outside the ring. It looked as if Moss would be in for a long and punishing night, but McIntyre took his eyes off the prize to exchange a few words with Happy Corbin, allowing Moss to take advantage with a kick to the back of the head.
Moss kept The Scottish Warrior from rallying, despite a monstrous powerbomb by McIntyre, catching McIntyre in midair for a fallaway slam. With McIntyre tangled upside down in the ropes, Moss looked to strike the final blow, but McIntyre popped up and launched Moss off the top turnbuckle before taking him to “Claymore Country” for the 1-2-3. RAW Tag Team Championship: RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, Rk-Bro (with Migos) defeated The Street Profits.
Joined by Migos on their way down to the ring, RK-Bro used the extra motivation to defeat The Street Profits and retain their Raw Tag Team Titles.
Entering to raucous chants from the Atlanta crowd, Randy Orton went for a quick RKO in the opening moments, but Angelo Dawkins slid out of his grasp to tag in Montez Ford, who suffered a sneaky thumb to the eye and some vintage stomps after taunting The Viper.
The Street Profits regrouped and began to roll after isolating Riddle from his partner, but that quickly ended after The Ultimate Bro escaped to tag in Orton. The Viper was ready to put the match to bed following a double draping DDT to both Ford and Dawkins, but Ford reversed the RKO attempt into a rollup for a two-count.
Ford kept the pressure on Orton and Riddle with a mesmerizing dive over the ring post before climbing to the top rope for another splash. Orton rolled out of the way of the splash attempt, and as Ford rebounded off the ropes, Riddle caught him and threw him into the air and right into an RKO.
Afterward, RK-Bro and The Street Profits shook hands, and both teams celebrated in the ring with Migos. (Via WWE.com)

WWE Hall of Famer, Edge defeated The Miz (with Maryse).
A returning and furious Beth Phoenix opened the door for her husband Edge to deliver a colossal Spear and turn off the lights on The A-Lister at WWE Day 1.
The Miz and The Rated-R Superstar traded blows early as they felt each other out before a diversion from Maryseallowed The Miz to capitalize and send Edge flying into the ring post and outside barricade. The Miz targeted Edge’s left leg to wear down the WWE Hall of Famer and keep him from sustaining any offense.
The Rated-R Superstar stunned Miz with a crushing sit-down facebuster on the outside floor, but The A-Lister countered by bouncing Edge’s face off the announce table. Miz went for a Skull-Crushing Finale onto the announce table, but Edge reversed it and dropped Miz onto the table before rolling him into the ring for a crossbody off the top rope and a two-count.
The two Superstars reversed and countered multiple submission attempts with Maryse assisting Miz by putting his foot on the rope to break a submission hold.
After Edge launched The A-Lister off the top rope with a hip toss, he set up for a Spear but instead flew right into the ring post after The Miz leapfrogged his foe and appeared to tweak his knee on the landing. The supposed injury was only a distraction, though, as Maryse took the opportunity to slap Edge, leading to a Skull-Crushing Finale and a two-count.
Maryse hopped onto the apron to argue the count, and that’s when Beth Pheonix appeared to chase her up the ramp. Shocked by seeing his wife run off, The Miz yelled at Phoenix before turning around into a Spear by Edge for the pinfall. (Via WWE.com)

RAW Women's Championship: RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION, Becky Lynch defeated Liv Morgan.
The much-anticipated rematch between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan lived up to the hype as Big Time Becks and Morgan left it all in the ring.
Morgan wasted little time taking it to the champion, landing a pair of knees to the face and repeatedly bouncing Lynch’s face off the announce table. Morgan continued to pummel Lynch with another knee to the face before picking her up off the top rope and throwing her across the ring.
As Morgan kept her foot on the gas, Lynch caught her in the middle of a hurricanrana attempt and swung Morgan into the turnbuckle, sling-shotting her into the bottom rope before delivering a leg drop across the back of Morgan’s neck.
The two heated rivals exchanged knockout blows, including a tremendous modified sunset flip powerbomb from Morgan, but they could only keep the other down for a two-count each time.
Morgan put her body on the line, but it only seemed to further enrage Lynch. As Morgan went for Oblivion, Big Time Becks caught her and pulled her off the ropes to hit the Man-handle Slam for the win. (Via WWE.com)

WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar defeated WWE CHAMPION, Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens & Bobby Lashley. (Fatal 5-Way match)
Being a last-minute addition to WWE Day 1’s Fatal 4-Way for the WWE Title did little to phase Brock Lesnar as The Beast bulldozed his way through Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley to become the new champion.
The destruction began immediately as Rollins and Owens jumped Lesnar when the bell rang while Big E and Lashley tumbled outside the ring. Lesnar delivered suplex after suplex until The All Mighty Speared The Beast through the barricade and into the timekeeper’s area.
Rollins and Owens continued their partnership to lay waste to Lashley and Lesnar with the steel steps before Big E jumped into the fray with a Uranage to Lashley through the announce table. It was mass carnage as KO and Rollins took it to Big E until Lesnar appeared out of nowhere to deliver F-5s to all three Superstars.
After delivering an F-5 to Owens, The Beast turned into a Spear from Lashley, who cinched in the Hurt Lock. As Lesnar faded, Big E intervened to break the submission and plant The All Mighty with a Big Ending. As Big E went for another Big Ending on Lesnar, however, The Beast reversed it into a thunderous F-5 for the pinfall victory. (Via WWE.com)
